Lansing, Michigan - Building upon the success of the statewide Recycle, MichiganTM marketing campaign, the Michigan Recycling Coalition has launched a new website dedicated to promoting awareness and participation in recycling programs throughout the state. The new website is unique in that it promotes Michigan residents' role in recycling where they live, work, and play, and provides resources for recycling programs and residents alike.
Visitors to the site can discover what Recycle, Michigan is - that community and sense of place where recycling programs are vital to quality of life, the state and local economy, jobs, and the conservation of our natural resources. Visitors will find information on the state of waste and recycling in Michigan; where the waste generated in the state goes, how current waste and recycling policies impact our efforts, and which materials can be recycled. The site also allows users to become actively engaged in the promotion of recycling through social media, purchase Recycle, MI items from the online store, and customize and publish recycling information for the home or office. The site also features the Recycle, Michigan Partner program developed for communities, organizations, and businesses that want to partner in actively promoting recycling in Michigan and highlighting their own recycling efforts.
Recycling and outreach programs are the first to be cut when funding gets tough, yet they are the only way to connect residents to ever growing recycling opportunities. Recycle, Michigan provides all programs, large and small, a way to connect to and benefit from a statewide education and outreach campaign.
