Michigan Recycling CoalitionWelcome to the MRC!Already a member? Click here for your profile! The Michigan Recycling Coalition is the voice of the Michigan recycling industry. As the statewide recycling association, the MRC advocates for recycling and its members. The Coalition leads, educates, and mobilizes a broad network of public and private sector service providers, processors, and manufacturers to accomplish their own and collective recycling goals. Coalition members receive access to the largest group of recycling professionals in the state, discounts on the annual recycling conference, a variety of educational workshops, trainings, networking opportunities, and have access to staff and a variety of resources aimed at supporting their efforts to manage end-of-life materials to their highest and best use. Join the MRC to network with members who understand the value recycling can bring to Michigan businesses and communities and move our systems beyond waste disposal to something that creates jobs and contributes to a healthy economy and environment. The MRC was started over 30 years ago by a group of passionate individuals who shared a vision to advance resource conservation issues in our great state. It is governed by a 15 member Board of Directors representing public, private, and nonprofit agencies across Michigan. The MRC's work is carried out by a variety of committees and staff. Our staff works hard to make it easy for you to get involved by utilizing the latest communication tools and technologies. Network with peers through the MRC Online Social Community, MRC Listservs, committee work, workshops, special events, and the Annual Conference and Trade Show. Committee opportunities provide a way for members to network and build professional portfolios. Policy Committee explores legislative and state government initiatives that impact the industry. Membership Committee works to make the organization significant and sustainable by attracting, serving, and retaining members. Regional Outreach Committee researches the needs of different regions of the state to bring the work of the MRC into communities. Conference Committee ensures the success of the MRC's most significant annual event. Michigan Organics Council represents issues specific to the composting industry.
